What materials do we use in our Spanish classes?
For initial and intermediate levels (A1, A2 and B1) we have our own material. For advanced and higher levels (B2, C1), we use the books of the publishing house Difusión and the books are El Abanico and El Ventilador. For level C2, we also have our own material.
What accreditations do we have at our Spanish school?
Our school is accredited by Bildungsurlaub Hamburg.
Are holiday hours made up for?
If there is only 1 public holiday in the same week, class hours are not made up. We always inform our students in advance when they contact us to study with us if there is a holiday during those weeks.
If there are 2 public holidays in the same week, we will make up for one of the classes.
Is there a level test?
As Solea is a small school, we do not consider it necessary to take a level test. We use our initial contact with any prospective student and the first few minutes that we meet as the means to figure out your level of Spanish. It is more than enough information.
Can the DELE exam be taken at our school?
The DELE exam is an official exam uniquely administered and corrected by the Instituto Cervantes. In general, Spanish language schools in Spain and abroad are private centres that prepare students to pass the exam.
Can students over the age of 50 study at our school?
Of course! With the exception of small closed school aged groups (17 and younger), our school is tailored to adults, and most of our students are between the ages of 30-50. But of course, all adult aged students interested in learning Spanish language and culture are more than welcome here.
Can families/children under the age of 18 study in intensive courses at our school?
Since we only have 3 classrooms, we have had to give priority to students of legal age. In addition, the material and contents used in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language to minors are very different. That is why we do have the option of offering Spanish courses to closed school groups, but not in open intensive courses.
